The Yamaha DTX500K Electronic Drum Kit is the most cost effective electronic drum kit from Yamaha with a diversity of great sounds, a realistic playing surface and quick triggering, together with fun learning tools and many play along features. Featuring sounds sampled from real Yamaha Drum kits the DTX500K is designed to be the ultimate plug in and play drum kit which can be used by everyone, everywhere. The DTX500K features built in practice tools to help you improve your playing and you can also play along to your favorite CDs or MP3 too, using the simple Auxiliary input. The pads and module are mounted on to a sturdy rack which can be folded away for easy storage and is completed with a Yamaha bass drum pedal which is included. The DTX500K from Yamaha has had major developments for a true drumming experience. The DTX500K uses DTX-PAD for the snare to give you an authentic stick response and the ability to play open/closed rim shots. The Hi-Hat system features dual-zone trigger pad (for edge and bow sounds). Also Yamaha's professional 3-zone cymbal pads which can express a different sound in each of the cup, bow and edge zones. These cymbals have a good stick feel and low acoustic noise.
The DTX500 Drum Trigger Module makes the DTX500K Kit complete. With Yamaha's high quality tone generator for realistic acoustic drums, with details like velocity-switching samples (which changes as you play harder). The DTX500 gives you 50 preset kits from a wide range of music styles. Select your favourite sounds and create custom user kits. Add digital reverb effects and master EQ to sweeten your sound. The DTX500 Module used digital sound technology derived from the MOTIF ES synthesizer.
The DTX500K can easily be expanded by up to four additional pads if you need more toms, cymbals, or a double-bass configuration.
