By putting your acoustic through a standard guitar amp, these natural nuances that define your guitar can be lost. To preserve your tone, yet still have great enhancement and equalisation options, you need an acoustic amplifier. These are specialised to suit the needs of the acoustic player (and not just guitars, but basses, double basses etc.), not only in terms of sound, but also in term of eliminating any feedback issues.
